Applying for scholarships is always nerve racking.  Writing essays about yourself and your studies can be very time consuming and is not always easy.  But, trying to find the right ones to apply for can take hours and be just as stressful.

My route to finding appropriate scholarships to apply for was probably easier than most, but still days of searching for a good fit.  As the university, there seemed to be only one that would fit.  Many Canadian scholarships only apply if you are attending university in Canada, and many of the UK scholarships only apply if you are a resident of the UK or EU.  Ones that require political savvy or that are aimed at young learners are also definitely out.

Having my CGA is a definite advantage and allowed me to apply for funding from both my provincial association and the federal association.

CGA-BC has kindly offered me some funding.

The other two prospects are in “hurry up and wait” mode as they don’t close until April.  Keep your fingers crossed.
