Kathie loves the puzzle of old documents.  Transcribing and pulling out the genealogical information is a pleasure.

An interest in coats of arms held by her own ancestors sparked a fascination with heraldic studies and the genealogical clues that may be found.

Kathie is an experienced presenter and instructor with close to three decades of presenting to adults. 

As well as her PhD, Kathie has a post-graduate certificate in research training from the University of Newcastle and a post-graduate diploma in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies through the University of Strathclyde.  She has also undertaken additional training in heraldry and palaeography.

Through her own family’s research Kathie has experience in several countries including Canada, USA, England, Scotland, Ireland, Norway and Sweden.
