We took the train to Durham yesterday. I was hoping to visit the castle but it was closed for the weekend because of new students arriving at the University. So instead I visited the cathedral. You can see the tower in the picture. To get to the top you climb 325 stone steps than wind in a spiral that gets tighter and tighter the higher you get. The views are gorgeous at the top.
